He has over fifteen years’ senior leadership experience in the public and private sectors including over eight years on the leadership team of two schools: one a large inner-city school, the other a small rural school. Prior to teaching, he was a senior manager in the telecoms industry; he has also worked in journalism.
He has an Honours degree in English Language and Literature, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education and the National Professional Qualification for Headship. He holds professional qualifications in child protection and safer recruitment.
He is the author of several books for teachers – published by Autus Books – including the Amazon best-sellers ‘How to Become a School Leader’, ‘Leadership for Learning’, ‘Ofsted Thriving Not Surviving’, and ‘The IQ Myth‘.
